Aron Myers, whose firm helps companies grow, has been tapped to be the chief operating officer of the Black AIDS Institute, Los Angeles.

Phill Wilson, the Institute’s CEO, said the new hire will move the Black AIDS Institute forward in its mission to expand programs and resources.

“No organization can be sustainable over time without proper infrastructure, so in 2007, we have focused on strengthening our infrastructure to support our growing programmatic elements,” said Wilson. “Adding a development director allows us to make sure our organization is properly resourced, and thereby, increases our capability to deliver more effective services. The hiring of a chief operating officer ensures we can make our day-to-day operations more efficient, again enhancing our program by having more effective support for the services we deliver.”

Myers said he is thrilled to be a part of the fight against HIV/AIDS in the African-American community and believes his years of senior management will help the Institute grow. “I have 15 years of experience developing innovative programming, increasing revenue and creating sound structural foundations for quality service delivery.”
